Credit Card Safety--Good Idea!

A good idea came in that I want to share with readers that will reduce the chance of credit card fraud/identity theft on the internet. Maybe others already know and use the method, but this author never thought about it. The big secret is to use a prepaid, rechargable MasterCard or Visa with a small amount of money on it or only enough to cover what you are purchasing. This way you won't have to use your ATM card or regular credit card and chance a compromise.

The other thing that was pointed out was that the same rechargable cards are cheaper to buy even with the fee than using a regular credit card with interest charges if you carry a balance. Of course, you do have to have the money to charge the card to begin with. The problem for many people is that once they pay off their credit cards they don't want to use them again, which really isn't convenient. Buying rechargable cards gives you the luxury of credit card use without actually being beholden to the credit card companies.

That's what I thought too.
Rechargable credit cards can be purchased at some grocery stores and places like WalMart. My opinion is the best place to get them is from your own bank. I've bought them from Wells Fargo.
