The short of it is that UK scientists believe that one day soon they will be able to send us to the "body shop" (my term) for repairs that will enable us to live to 100 in good health. The bad thing is that the article quotes Professor Christina Doyle as saying that it will take 30-50 years to create the full technology.
Talk about getting my hopes up and deflating them....

I don't want to live to 100 unless my brain is working good too. A guy would have to work like crazy to save enough for retirement. Or he'd have to work until about 80. I don't like either choice.
Always the pratical one aren't you. I'm not so sure I want to live that long with this body.
