Show-Off

This profound statement was uttered by former CIA terror expert Michael Scheuer in a Newmax interview here:

"My dad used to say, beware of men who like to show off in front of children. . ."

". . . And I think the president's discussion with schoolchildren [on Tuesday] is a good example of a man to beware of."

I commented on the post above about my sisters kids and mine. We are pulling our kids out of public school because of this crap.

I'm teacher and take great offense at what you post on this blog about President Obama. His speech Tuesday to the school children was to inspire them to something greater. He is our president and a great man who worked his way up from very humble beginnings. His story is inspirational for our young people. He worked hard to get where he is today and you should show respect for that.

I think you should really reconsider the mean-spirited, destructive comments that you write on your blog. Your articles appear to be your opinion only with little if any basis in truth or facts.

To anonymous

As a teacher it is your job to also protect your students when in your care. I bet you, your fellow teachers, and school district had no problem exposing kids to this message.

Obama didn't "work hard" to get where he is, it was given to him.

First of all, Anonymous, I don't really care if you take offense at what I post on MY blog. Until which time freedom of speech is taken away from us, I will say whatever I choose and express my opinions whether you like it or not. Please feel free read someone else's blog or to start your own blog. Do not come here to tell me what I should or should not post.

Second, just because Obama is the president doesn't mean that I can't disagree with his actions or what he says. I usually provide links that anyone can follow to find the information I used to form my opinion.

I have to agree with Dave. You are honor-bound to protect and educate students not indoctrinate them with your beliefs or opinions. Is it not enough for you that you are using text books written by liberals and communists? You do not have the right to form the skulls full of mush into your likeness. Your job is to teach them how to learn and reason. That's all.

The message here was not to encourage students to do well because it is the right thing to do and in their best interest.

The message was to do well for the president and country. This was about the President, not the students.
